I built out much of UNSC: Say My Name’s drop bay areas as playable space, but, despite my hopes, there wasn’t enough time to make it a multiplayer map.
I was high on hi-res 3d modeling for normal maps way back in ‘08, but it paid off. My pod’s hi-res geometry was sent to McFarlane for the toys and were even used in the awesome ODST commercial. I was very proud of the pod at the time and still get teased about it today.
Along with the “Mad World” GEARS commercial, WE ARE ODST is still one of the finest game ads of all time; I’m honored to have the slightest association with it. Saved below for posterity.
